The FISY day of dance on the 30th September has had to be moved to DEEPCAR Village Hall because of the flood damage at Burncross.

The caller Frances Oats and the band, Dampier’s round are still booked for the event. The afternoon session still starts at 2.00 p.m. and the evening session starts at 7.00 p.m.

If you planning to stay for the whole day please remember to bring some food for your tea.

We are hoping to hold the FISY A.G.M.starting between 6.00 and 6.15.

Welcome to Folk in South Yorkshire!

What is FISY?

Folk in South Yorkshire (FISY) is a not-for-profit umbrella organisation that represents folk dancing clubs and groups in the South Yorkshire area, several of whom are affiliated to the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS). Membership of EFDSS is not required to attend any of the regular or special dances arranged by FISY or the groups we represent. Being part of an organisation such as EFDSS ensures a level of security for those who take part in the dances, including assurance that the sessions are appropriately insured.
